Terms of Use

The agreement governing access to Virtual Risk Desk Monitor, Account Guardian, Defensive Shield, dashboards and optional deployment services.Last updated: 25 August 2026
Pre-incorporation noticeVirtual Risk Desk is currently a pre-incorporation product and trading name. Direct checkout will not open until the legal identity and geographic address of the contracting operator are displayed. These documents are working commercial drafts and should receive a final UK legal review before sales begin.

1. Who we are and when these terms apply

Virtual Risk Desk is the trading name of a pre-incorporation software project available at virtualriskdesk.com (“VRD”, “we”, “us”). Contact: hello@virtualriskdesk.com.

These Terms describe the intended basis on which VRD technology and services will be supplied. No direct order will be accepted until the checkout identifies the legal person or incorporated entity entering into the contract with you, together with its geographic address and any applicable registration details. Those details and the order confirmation will form part of your contract.

2. What Virtual Risk Desk provides

VRD is decision-support and risk-management software for users of MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisors. Depending on the plan, it may provide backtest analysis, lot and funding modelling, synthetic mandates, Risk Passports, telemetry, alerts, portfolio views, Monte Carlo simulations, AI-generated commentary, prop-rule monitoring and optional protective controls.

VRD is not a broker, custodian, investment manager or trading counterparty. It does not hold customer money, place trades for investment purposes, promise a return or provide personalised investment, tax or legal advice. VRD is not represented as being authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. Use of the software does not give you access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or Financial Services Compensation Scheme in relation to trading losses or the performance of the software.

3. Eligibility and customer responsibility

You must be at least 18, legally capable of contracting and permitted to use algorithmic trading software where you live. You are responsible for your brokers, prop firms, VPS, terminals, EA licences, account permissions, trading decisions and compliance with third-party rules.

You must review every recommended lot, funding level, threshold and action before relying on it. You remain responsible for determining whether a configuration is appropriate for you.

4. Accounts, licences and acceptable use

Your access is personal to you or the purchasing organisation. You must protect credentials and licence keys and notify us promptly of suspected misuse. You may not resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, circumvent licensing, interfere with the service, upload malicious material or use VRD unlawfully.

Activation, device and terminal limits shown at checkout form part of the order. MQL5 activations are also governed by MQL5’s terms.

5. Third-party products and connections

MetaTrader, brokers, prop firms, VPS providers, payment processors and third-party EAs are independent services. Their availability, rules and performance are outside our control. A connection or preset does not mean that VRD is endorsed by or affiliated with that provider.

6. AI, models and evidence

Backtests, simulations and AI outputs are estimates and decision aids. They can be incomplete or wrong and may not reflect future markets, execution, spreads, gaps, slippage or correlated events. Customers must not treat an AI CRO recommendation as a guarantee or instruction that removes the need for judgement.

7. Account Guardian and Defensive Shield

Account Guardian and Defensive Shield actions are disabled unless separately armed and authorised. Depending on the selected authority mode and entitlement, an authorised action may freeze or police exposure, cancel mapped pending orders, reduce or close positions, or place a defensive hedge. These actions can realise losses or execute differently because of connectivity, terminal, broker, liquidity, gap, slippage, swap, basis, margin or market conditions. Enabling an intervention mode confirms that you understand and accept those limitations.

8. Orders, fees and payment

Before you place a direct order, the checkout will identify the contracting operator and show the product or service, total price (including applicable taxes), payment method, licence period, included features and any recurring billing. An order is accepted when we issue confirmation, unless the checkout states otherwise.

Purchases made through MQL5 or another marketplace are contracted and processed subject to that marketplace’s payment, activation and refund rules as well as any applicable product licence terms.

9. Done-for-you services

The deliverables, supported EAs and terminals, required customer inputs, support window and fees are those in the selected package or written order. You must provide valid EA licences, terminal access, broker details and usable backtests. We may pause delivery while required information or access is missing.

Deployment support does not transfer responsibility for the resulting trading configuration or performance to VRD. Material changes requested after approval may require a revised quote.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may update features, models and integrations to improve security, compliance or performance. We will not deliberately remove the core benefit of a paid perpetual licence without providing a reasonable alternative, unless required by law or third-party platform change.

11. Intellectual property

VRD, its software, models, interfaces, documentation and brand remain our intellectual property or that of our licensors. You retain ownership of your uploaded reports and trading data and grant us the limited rights needed to process them and provide the service.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, non-payment, abuse, unlawful use or material breach. You may stop using VRD at any time. Termination does not remove rights or obligations that arose beforehand.

13. Liability

Nothing excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights. We will provide paid services with reasonable care and skill.

Subject to those protections, VRD is not responsible for investment or trading losses, lost opportunity, lost profits, prop-account failure, broker action, third-party outages, or decisions made using model outputs where those losses were not caused by our breach or were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.

If you use VRD wholly or mainly for business purposes, our aggregate liability for direct loss arising from an affected product or service is limited to the amount paid for that product or service in the 12 months before the event. This business-user cap does not override liability that cannot legally be limited.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also have mandatory rights and access to courts in your home jurisdiction.

15. Complaints and contact

Questions or complaints may be sent to hello@virtualriskdesk.com. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five business days and provide a substantive response within 14 business days. The legal address for formal notices will appear at checkout and in the order confirmation before direct sales open.
